Preheat oven
Sieve dry ingredients
In a mixing bowl whisk butter and sugar till creamy
Add essence and mix
Add dry ingredients in batches and fold it
Add milk if required
Transfer the batter in a baking dish and bake it for 20-25 minutes at 180°
While cake is baking melt chocolate slab in microwave and spread evenly on butter paper and let it set
Make chocolate shavings for garnishing
When cake is cooked and coiled down cut it halves
On one portion apply sugar syrup to make it wet than apply whipped cream over it evenly
Cover it with second portion of cake and wet it with sugar syrup
Cover it with whipped cream
Cut thin slices if chocolate spread on butter paper and put over all the sides
